RECOMMENDED SETTLEMENT ORDER
Case no. #06-19-00-3
***
Grievant states that the reassignments of library employees announced by the Library Director on May 25, 2000
show a total disregard for the skills and experience of the library employees. The transfers decimate the cadre
of senior managers at the library systems Central Library and do not address the actual personnel needs of the
other library facilities to which the Central Library employees were reassigned. Some of the transfers appear
retaliatory or racially motivated....
WHEREAS, a Grievance was heard by the Fulton County Grievance Review Committee on July 27, 2000...
WHEREAS, the testimony revealed that the Fulton County Library did not err in their practices and procedures.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this grievance is Denied. Testimony revealed that no reclassifications or
reductions in pay resulted from the reassignments. As of the date of the hearing, the new job duties of the
personnel were not finalized.
This Recommended Settlement Order shall become a matter of official record and copies thereof furnished to all
parties of interest, and a copy placed in the Grievant's official personnel file as prescribed by Fulton County
Policy and Procedure 100-24.
