Fed Up

It is obvious that Garnes' sudden departure was a formal "Screw You!" to Hooker and the inept board of trustees. Garnes got saddled with all the work, while Hooker spent her days playing on the computer, stabbing Garnes in the back, undermining her efforts, ruining careers, sabotaging programs and destroying a once great library system.

Even though Garnes repeatedly complained to board members, and wrote letters to successive board chairs, Hooker only became more emboldened and "off the chart" with her vicious and poisonous management style. The board is as much to blame for turning a "blind eye" to the worst director in AFPL history!

Hooker's personal motto must be: "If you don't have the smarts to lead an organization, then annihilate the place!"
